11 acres annexed into Greenfield limits
GREENFIELD — The city of Greenfield approved plans this week to annex about 11 acres of land near the southeast corner of Franklin Street and New Road.
The land is owned by the Melton family, which asked the city to annex their property a few months ago.
It was zoned for a business park, and the family has hopes to sell the land, as it could be used to build a small business park, said attorney Ron Pritzke.
The annexation was approved Wed-nesday after city officials OK’d a fiscal impact statement and an ordinance zoning the land.
