David Allen WilIiams, 68, of Hamilton, Ind., formerly of Greenfield, died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

David was born August 15, 1940 in Anderson to Dale and Martha Jane (Hunt) Williams.

David grew up in Greenfield and graduated from Charlottesville High School in 1958. He joined the U.S. Army, and retired after 20 years service. He spent time in Viet Nam and Korea, as well as several areas of the United States.

He is survived by wife, Linda; two sons, John David (Dee) Williams of Indianapolis, and Russell Dale Williams of Greencastle; two stepsons; three sisters, Dianne Dale Mckee, Susan Kay Boyles, and Nancy JoAlta Yeiter of Indianapolis area; and brother, Joseph Earl Williams of Sullivan Ind.; and several cousins.

David was preceded in death by his parents in 1974 and 1986, as well as his dear daughter, Debra in 1979.

Military graveside services were held at South Scott Cemetery, Steuban County with the Rev. Tim Terrell and the Angola American Legion Post officiating.

Arrangements were through Weicht Funeral Home in Angola, Ind.
