GREENFIELD — Families can enjoy food and get to know the community’s first-responders at Hancock County Community Night this evening (Wednesday, July 21). The event will run from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hancock County Fairgrounds, 620 Apple St., Greenfield.
Organizers will distribute about 1,300 backpacks with school supplies for children. Parents may register online to receive one: www.eventbrite.com/e/149384712697. The backpacks are free.
The event will also feature representatives from 30 nonprofit agencies, who will pass out information and free items for kids. Demonstrations from first-responders will take place throughout the evening, and the county’s SWAT team will have equipment on display.
