The Indiana State Department of Health early today (Tuesday, March 2), expanded the number of Hoosiers who are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

On its website this morning, the agency said all people 55 and older are now eligible for the vaccine. The state only last week lowered the threshold to 60.

The decision comes as Johnson & Johnson’s new one-dose vaccine comes online. State officials said last week they expected to begin receiving some of that new supply as soon as this week.
