FORTVILLE — Despite the changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mt. Vernon High School staff continued the tradition of honoring its seniors through a virtual Senior Honor Night. The virtual celebration, facilitated by MVHS Technology Education Teacher, Tom Shaver, began with a senior portrait presentation of each senior at Mt. Vernon High School. The photos were followed by opening remarks from the school’s principal, Casey Dodd.
The total amount of scholarship money awarded to the class of 2020 was approximately $4,000,000. Scholarships and awards were presented to the following students:

Psi Iota Xi, founded in 1897 in Muncie, Ind., is a women’s philanthropic organization with chapters throughout the midwestern United States. Psi Iota Xi chapters are focused on raising money and offering volunteer service to improve the quality of life in their communities.
