NEW PALESTINE — New Palestine American Legion Post 182 is offering a scholarship opportunity for New Palestine High School social studies students. They may make an informational video about the United States’ military involvement the European Theater during World War II. The winning videos will be used as an interactive piece at the Veterans Memorial at Sugar Creek Park.
A $1,000 award will be given to the winning project, and two $500 awards will be given to the runners-up. Gina Iacobucci, a social studies teacher at New Palestine High School, will direct the program and judge the videos. New Palestine American Legion members will also participate in the final judging and awarding of the scholarships.
