Kelsi McLaughlin

Greenfield-Central sophomore

McLaughlin, the Hancock County Player of the Year and an all-conference selection, led the county in both goals and points and tied for fifth in assists, finishing the season with 33 goals, 8 assists and 74 points. She helped lead the high-powered Cougars attack to a 14-3 season and second-place HHC finish at 6-1.

Maddie Swingle

Mt. Vernon sophomore

Swingle was a dominant force for the county’s best team, controlling the ball on the defensive end of the field. The Marauders only gave up 26 goals all year, a large credit to the sophomore’s presence from her center back position. Swingle was the team’s free kick specialist and scored 7 goals with 3 assists this season. She finished as the top vote-getter for the all-conference team from HHC coaches.

Anne Marie DeKeyser

Greenfield-Central senior

In her final season at Greenfield-Central, the Ball State-bound DeKeyser put up big numbers, leading the county in assists and finishing second in goals and points. The senior scored 24 goals with 17 assists for 65 points, a big jump from a strong junior campaign of 16 goals and 14 assists, and earned all-HHC selection again.

Katie Gawrys

Mt. Vernon junior

Gawyrs had an impact all over the field for the Marauders, playing defense, midfield and forward. The junior finished seventh in the county in scoring, tying for fifth in goals scored. She compiled 12 goals and 3 assists, good for 27 points and an all-HHC nod.

Maddy Miller

New Palestine senior

Miller had a big year for the Dragons, finishing third in the county in scoring behind McLaughlin and DeKeyser and earning her an all-conference selection. The senior helped her team finish with a 9-6-2 record, scoring 18 goals (third in county) with 8 assists, adding up to 44 points.

Anna Isger

Mt. Vernon junior

In her first at Mt. Vernon, Isger excelled. The midfielder was an offensive force for much of the season, leading the Marauders in scoring and finishing fourth in the county in points. The junior ended the season with 14 goals, 6 assists and 34 points and as an all-conference selection.

Addie Halter

New Palestine junior

Halter was a key part in New Palestine’s offense this year, finishing second on the team in scoring and sixth in Hancock County in total points. The junior finished with 11 goals, 7 assists and 29 points.

Shay Shipley

Mt. Vernon sophomore

Playing both in the midfield and out front at forward, Shipley had a strong year that ended with her fifth in the county in scoring and with an all-HHC nod. The sophomore tied for fifth in goals with 12, adding 7 assists for 31 total points.

Riley Hurst

Mt. Vernon senior

Hurst finisher her career at Mt. Vernon with the second most assists among county players, earning her a Top 10 finish in total scoring. The senior forward scored 7 goals to go with her 12 assists, finishing with 26 points. She was named to the all-conference team this week.

Emily Davidson

Greenfield-Central senior

A senior leader for the Cougars, Davidson was crucial to Greenfield-Central’s 14-3 overall record. She finished with 2 assists this year, but anchored a defense that allowed just 26 goals all season. Davidson earned all-HHC in her final season at Greenfield-Central.

Whitney Miller

New Palestine junior

Miller, a defender, found herself in an unusual position this year due to injury. The junior found herself in net for the Dragons for almost half of the season, allowing just two total goals and notching 43 saves, good for a 0.667 goals against average. She also scored one goal for New Palestine and was named all-HHC.
