GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Street Department’s leaf pickup program will start at the end of the month.

Leaves must be raked to the curb by 8 a.m. on the Monday of each scheduled week in order for street crews to pick them up, according to a street department news release. The program begins Oct. 28 for residents who live east of State Road 9 and on Nov. 4 for those who reside west of the main road.

Crews will alternate picking up leaves on the east and west sides of Greenfield depending on the week.

For residents on the east side of State Road 9:

Oct. 28 to Nov. 1

Nov. 12 to Nov. 15

Nov. 25 to Nov. 29

For residents on the west side of State Road 9:

Nov. 4 to Nov. 8

Nov. 18 to Nov. 22

Dec. 2 to Dec. 6

Bagged leaves, which must also be placed at the curb, will be picked up within two working days if you call the street department at 317-477-4380, the press release states.

The schedule could change due to weather and the availability of machinery and crews.
