Parade will welcome The Wall the Heals

HANCOCK COUNTY — A parade is planned on Tuesday to welcome The Wall That Heals to Hancock County.

The three-quarter-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial will arrive in the county via semitrailer truck and will make a tour of communities as it makes its way to the site where it will be set up, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home in Greenfield.

The parade will start at 4 p.m. Tuesday at New Palestine High School. Joining the parade will be members of the Patriot Guard Riders and other select people. Here is the route:

4 p.m.: Leaves New Palestine High School and travels north on County Road 600W to McCordsville.

4:15 p.m.: Passes through McCordsville and turns east on State Road 67 to Fortville.

4:30 p.m.: Travels through Fortville on 67 to Fortville Pike and Fortville Pike south to State Road 234.

4:40 p.m.: Travels to State Road 9, then west on U.S. 40 to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St., arriving at 5 p.m.
