Motorcycle ride, party to benefit Fortville police

FORTVILLE — A motorcycle ride followed by a hog roast, live music and other entertainment will benefit the Fortville Police Department this weekend.

The event is on Sunday, May 19. The motorcycle ride will start at the Fortville Police Station, 714 E. Broadway. Registration is 10 to 10:45 a.m. The cost is $25 per bike and $5 per passenger. Kickstands go up at 11 a.m.

The ride will end at about 3 p.m. at the Hancock County Fraternal Order of Police, 400 E. Davis Road, Greenfield.

After the ride, the FOP will have live music, a hog roast, corn hole tournament, raffles, door prizes, best bike contest and classic car show. There will be a $10 cover charge for anyone attending the festivities at the FOP who opted out of the motorcycle ride.

All proceeds benefit the Fortville Police Department’s K-9 fund.
