Weather wreaks havoc

Inclement weather Thursday and Friday caused postponements of numerous county sport events, including the Hancock County tennis tournament and a county baseball doubleheader.

All events at Eastern Hancock were postponed on Thursday, including boys golf against Wes-Del and girls tennis against Blue River Valley. The tennis match between Greenfield-Central and Mt. Vernon was moved from Thursday to April 29.

Friday postponements include the baseball doubleheader between Mt. Vernon and New Palestine, moved to Monday at 5:30 p.m., and the county tennis tournament, which is still awaiting a makeup date.
