Dangerous left turns should be banned

To the editor:

The stoplight at County Road 300N and State Road 9 is very much needed and should be made permanent, as this intersection is extremely dangerous.

Another very sore spot is where traffic passes through the light at McKenzie Road and State Road 9 travelling west. After passing through the light, some drivers immediately turn into oncoming and stopped traffic to turn into the Circle K parking lot. There should be no-left-turn signs and a divider set up there to stop this jam-up, as it causes rear-end collisions and blocks the flow of traffic constantly. If people want to go to Circle K, they can easily turn left at the light and make a right turn into the station. And yet, people seem unaware of this for some reason. The left turn into oncoming traffic is both dangerous and totally unnecessary.
