Library to turn play area into gingerbread houses

GREENFIELD — Kids and tweens age 3 to 12 are welcome to drop in and make super-sized paper sugarplums and candy from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday and 10 to 11 a.m. Nov. 24 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. The larger-than-life creations will help to turn the play area buildings into holiday gingerbread houses. Visit hcplibrary.org to register to attend this free program. Teens to create bad art

GREENFIELD — Teens in grades 6 through 12 are invited to create some bad art with items from the library craft closet at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. No one needs talent, as anyone can make ugly art. Afterward, participants can vote for their favorites in each category: most colorful, most diverse media and most horrendous. Jurassic Quest returns to Indiana State Fairgrounds

INDIANAPOLIS — Jurassic Quest, America’s largest and most realistic dinosaur event, returns this weekend to the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th St. Guests will walk through the Cretaceous period, the Jurassic Period and the Triassic period for a near-realistic experience of what it was like to be among living, breathing dinosaurs. Friday hours are from 3 to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Prices range from $18 for seniors to $34 for a V.I.P. experience.
