GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Area Chamber of Commerce will play host to its second annual Women in Business conference at the Hancock County Public Library on Wednesday.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch is scheduled to give a presentation discussing the challenges women face in today’s economic climate.

The event will feature a panel of six prominent businesswomen from Hancock County to answer questions relevant to succeeding as a working professional, Livengood said. After the main session, attendees will break out into small-group workshops and discussion circles

The conference is designed to give entrepreneurs and employees a chance to share tips on cultivating success in their personal and professional lives, she said. Women who attend the conference should expect to receive advice on everything from staying informed on modern business practices to balancing work with life and family, Livengood said.

Sometimes, people get so focused on competing and succeeding at work that they forget to take care of themselves, Livengood said. So the conference will focus on ways to cultivate financial well-being while also maintaining good habits on stress management and nutrition, she said.

“This event is a way for women in the community to take a breath together and reinforce that sense of spirit and community,” Livengood said.

“This is an opportunity to take a moment to celebrate and appreciate the accomplishments of businesswomen in our community,” she added.tp
