New Palestine Jr. High to host internet safety session

NEW PALESTINE — Presenters from the Indiana State Police’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force will be at New Palestine Junior High, 5612 W. County Road 200 S., at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 17. The purpose of the presentation is to educate Hancock County parents on the dangers of social media and how to keep children safe during the digital age. This program will feature important information on how to protect your children from a number of dangerous types of online activities including sextortion, sexting, online predators and cyberbullying. Parents will also learn about some secret apps that children may be using without their knowledge.
