High school students, nonprofits, area start-ups and entrepreneurs in the community are invited to participate with a goal to foster an entrepreneurial mindset in our community and provide a forum to share big ideas. Entrepreneur ideas pitched that night will be in part funded by the audience’s selection.

The competition will have three categories: Social Entrepreneurship (students or community members with nonprofit ideas); Emerging Entrepreneur (students with for-profit ideas); Entrepreneur (community members with for-profit ideas). Pitches should range from 3 to 10 minutes depending on the category.

High school students and entrepreneurs can participate by applying at mvcsc.k12.in.us/1/content/entrepreneur. Applications are due by November 5, and finalists will be notified by November 12.

The community is invited to attend the Big Ideas Pitch Competition event at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation Administrative Service Center, 1806 W.
