Teens can enjoy Garfield, donuts

GREENFIELD — Tweens and teens are invited to enjoy animated “Garfield” cartoons while feasting on some of the Hoosier cat’s favorite treats — lasagna, donuts and cake — Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Register to attend at hcplibrary.org.

Library hosts scavenger hunt

GREENFIELD — Disney Pixar’s superhero family, The Incredibles, has joined forces with the American Library Association for “Library Card Sign-up Month.” Anytime between September 1 and 30, residents can stop by the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield, or the New Palestine branch, 5087 U.S. Highway 52, and ask for a scavenger hunt card with clues about the location of the five “Incredible” characters inside the library. Searchers can stamp their card each time a character is found, and then turn in the completed card to enter in a prize drawing (one entry per person, please). A winner, chosen from each library location, will receive a package that includes the new “Incredibles 2” DVD, popcorn and candy.
