Local college students earn honors

College announces academic honors

FRANKLIN — Franklin College has announced its dean’s list for the spring 2018 semester. Students named to the dean’s list have achieved academic distinction by earning a 3.5 grade point average or above.

The following students have been named to the dean’s list and are from Central Indiana: Caitlyn M. Cherry, a senior, is the daughter of Chris and Cristi Cherry of New Palestine; Matthew D. Powell, a junior, is the son of David and Kris Powell of Fortville; Olivia Scott, a sophomore, is the daughter of Phillip and Jill Scott of Greenfield.

To earn president’s list distinction, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average.

The following students have been named to the president’s list and are from Central Indiana: Larken R. Adams, a sophomore, is the daughter of Elizabeth Bryant of Shelbyville and Kip Adams of Greenfield; Jessica A. Chastain, a sophomore, is the daughter of Aaron and Julie Chastain of McCordsville; Charles R. Hill Jr., a senior, is the son of Charlie and Jennifer Hill of New Palestine; Tapanga S. Gauck, a senior, is the daughter of Bart Gauck of Milan and Tammy Gauck of Greenfield; Lauren M. Harmon, a senior, is the daughter of Tina and Thomas Harmon of Greenfield.
