Painted barn quilt workshop offered

FORTVILLE — At Home with Us — Indiana, 202 S. Main St., will host a painted barn quilt workshop Aug. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. Participants will paint an 8-point star barn quilt design on a 2-inch x 2-inch wooden surface. All supplies are included in the $40 registration fee. Michelle of Mixed Up Media by Michelle will be there to offer tips and tricks to get started. Class size is limited. Stretch out at county library yoga classes

GREENFIELD/NEW PALESTINE — The Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, and the Sugar Creek Branch Library, 5087 W. U.S. Highway 52, offer yoga instruction for a range of abilities. Five-week sessions for beginners or advanced students begin at the Sugar Creek Branch on Saturday at 9:15 or 10:15 a.m. The main branch of the library offers beginning yoga at 2:45 p.m. and advanced yoga at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. A $25 registration fee is due at the beginning of class. Participants 60 and over may attend at no charge. Register to attend at hcplibrary.org.

Parks and Recreation offers ballroom dance

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Parks and Recreation offers a ballroom dance repertoire including social dances such as the Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba and Swing for ages 18 and up at 8 p.m. Thursdays at the Patricia Elmore Center, 280 N.
