McCordsville church to serve dinner

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church’s next community dinner is set for 4:30 to 7 p.m. July 14 at the church, 6247 W. Broadway, McCordsville.

The evening has a “Summer Splash” theme. The menu features hot dogs, sloppy joes, chips and homemade ice cream. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Class offers firearms training for women

WILKINSON — Women who own a handgun or have considered buying one but have not had any training can receive instruction during a class at Wilkinson Church of Christ, 7293 N. Main St., Wilkinson.

The curriculum covers safety, storage, shooting fundamentals, and Indiana firearms laws.

The class meets from 6 to 9 p.m. July 9 and 16 at the church; the July 21 session will be at a range.

Cost is $30.

Church offers Monday worship

CUMBERLAND — “Monday: The Bookend of the Weekend” is a summer worship service at 6:30 p.m. Mondays at St. John United Church of Christ, 11910 E. Prospect St.

It’s a weekday worship service for those who cannot attend Sunday or just want to attend an evening of worship and music. Ice cream will be served.

Booth space available at bazaar

An outdoor vendor section will be a new feature of this year’s Irvington Presbyterian Church Country Fair, and applications are being accepted.

The vendor application for the event, sponsored by the IPC Women, is available in the church office or may be downloaded from www.irvpresby.org.

The fair is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 29 at the church, 55 Johnson Ave.

Vendors can apply for a 10×10-foot space in the parking lot, which includes a 6-foot table and a chair. Applications are due Aug. 17.
