HANCOCK COUNTY — Two-wheeled decorations again adorn downtown Greenfield — and now downtown Fortville — for the fifth-annual Bikes in Bloom contest, which challenges area nonprofits to decorate bicycles with live flowers and adornments relevant to their organization.

More than 20 bicycles have been placed at bike racks and other highly visible locations in the two downtown areas, laden with live flowers and other themed decorations.

Voting for the best bikes will continue through June 16 on the Greenfield Main Street Facebook page, facebook.com/GreenfieldMainStreet, and the Fortville Action Facebook page, facebook.com/fortvilleactioninc. The organization with the most votes will receive a new bicycle from downtown bike sales and repair business Family Bike Chain, said Greenfield Main Street executive director Shelley Swift. Winners will be announced at the North Street Fitness Festival on June 16, Swift said.
