Nathan Todd Fine, 53, of Martinsville, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at IU Methodist Hospital. He was born on January 27, 1965 in Elizabethtown, KY as the son of William Franklin Fine and Bettye J. Parks. Nathan graduated from New Palestine High School in 1983 and received his associates degree in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration from Ivy Tech Community College. Nathan married Nancy Joann (Remster) on October 8, 2011.
He worked for many years in the heating and air conditioning field. He also worked as a general contractor and managed rental properties. Before starting his own business, Fine Services, doing renovations and insulation, he spent time as an Environmental Service Director, Preventative Maintenance Supervisor and Control Plant Operator/Technician. Nathan loved fishing, boating, and camping. He enjoyed traveling with his family.
Nathan is survived by his wife, Nancy Fine; mother, Bettye Parks; son, Elliott Fine; sister, Andrea (Brian) Smith; niece, Kaitlin Smith; nephew, Andrew Smith; step-daughters, Brandy Hicks (Doug Crumpton) and Lauren Brown; three step-grandchildren, Korey, Brooke, and Baleigh; two step-great-grandchildren, Adalyn and Azalea; aunt and uncle, Julia and Willis Walker; and cousins, Alison Garretson and David Walker. He was preceded in death by his father, William Fine; step-father, Jack Parks; and brother, William Bradford Fine.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 7 p.m. Pastor Hubert Nolen will be officiating. Burial will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Park Cemetery, 621 S. State Greenfield, IN 46140.
