The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Violations: C/R — steak & peppers, fish filets and pork wontons below temperature, corrected; C — must clean utensils, equipment, door handles when contaminated with raw meat product, sanitize every four hours when in use, must sanitize utensils, food contact surfaces of equipment after cleaning in three compartment sink, to be corrected by Feb. 1; NC — must store ice scoop in clean, protected manner, corrected; NC/R — food thermometer needs to be available and used, need sanitizing test strips for chemical used and must be used to confirm correct concentration, to be corrected by Feb. 15; NC — no soap available in employee restroom, to be corrected by Feb. 1.
Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant
Location: 1550 N. State St., Greenfield
Type of Inspection: Routine
Violations: NC/R — ice scoop in drink area needs to be stored properly, corrected; NC — water at dish machine not hot enough, finish repairing walls in kitchen where panels not secured, repair coving, to be corrected by May 1.
