GREENFIELD — Calvary Baptist Church, 1450 W. Main St., will celebrate its 50th anniversary Sunday.

The church invites all former members and friends to the celebration. A service at 10:30 a.m. will be followed at noon by a catered lunch.

After the meal, members and visitors can celebrate further with special music and singing. The Rev. Bob Bacon, a former pastor of the church, will share some memories and inspiration at 1:30 p.m.

Bacon was the minister during the constitution service that took place March 3, 1968, launching Calvary Southern Baptist Church as a new congregation. Previously it was Southern Baptist Chapel of Greenfield, a mission of First Baptist Church of Knightstown.

Nursery will be provided during both services Sunday. Call the church at 317-462-4586 or email [email protected] to reserve a lunch. Everyone is invited.
