INDIANAPOLIS – The Mt. Vernon Marauders’ season came to end on Saturday morning as they fell to Terre Haute South, 80-52.
Despite high-intensity efforts from seniors Damari Gatewood (19 points) and Tyler Bostic, the Marauders were unable to contain Indiana State recruit De’Avion Washington of Terre Haute South, who scored 32 points. Late in the second quarter, the Marauders were down only five points after a run of three-pointers, but the size advantage enjoyed by the Braves proved too much. The loss brings the Marauders’ record to 15-10.
