GREENFIELD
Clara L. (Duke) Worrell, 83, of Greenfield, our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, left us on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Crown Point Assisted Living in Greenfield. She was born on December 5, 1934, in Scottsville, KY, as the daughter of Leslie and Lillian (Bratton) Duke. Clara married Charles Worrell on January 11, 1963, in Indianapolis.
She was a supervisor at RCA in Indianapolis. She enjoyed owning and running theaters with her husband. She attended Brown’s Chapel Wesleyan Church for many years. Clara loved spending time with her friends and enjoyed playing Bunko, bowling and traveling.
Clara is survived by her son, Joel Crawford of Greenfield; daughters, Julie Pierce of Lakeland, FL, and Jodie (Tim) Barnett of Greenfield; five grandchildren, Dustin (Sheri) Crawford, Billy Duncan, Bobby Duncan, Ashley Barnett and Abbey Barnett; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Lillian Duke; husband, Charles Worrell; two brothers; and a sister.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary with viewing one hour prior to the service. Pastor Josh Keesling will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
