Movie Theater Church celebrates tenth year

MT. COMFORT — Movie Theater Church will celebrate its 10th anniversary March 10 and 11.

On March 10, five groups from the church will offer community service at organizations from 10 a.m. to noon; five groups times two hours equals 10, representing the church’s 10 years.

The church also plans an evening of worship at 7 p.m. March 10. “We invite the community to enjoy music and media, just getting lost in a moment of worship,” the Rev. Ethan Maple wrote in an email to the Daily Reporter.

The next day, the church will celebrate the 10-year milestone during worship at 10:30 a.m. After the service, it will gather for dinner with the congregation of Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church.

Both churches worship at 3179 N. Mt. Comfort Road, Greenfield. Movie Theater Church joined the Mt. Comfort congregation there in December, with each church worshiping in a different style in a different part of the building.
