Registration ongoing for Weekend Watercolor Workshop
GREENFIELD — Indie Art Studio, 2 W. Main St., offers a two-part watercolor workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. March 17 and 18. The introductory course is designed for artists to explore and improve watercolor painting techniques. Designed with beginners in mind, the workshop will cover the fundamentals of watercolor painting. Students will start with a basic introduction to the tools of the trade, color theory, blending and brush control, application techniques, simple ways of creating shadows and highlights and how to add texture and precise lines. By the end of the weekend, participants will have a 9-by-12 inch painting to take home. The fee for the class is $60. Register to attend at indieartstudio.com

Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre announces young performers audition for “Annie”
INDIANAPOLIS — Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre is casting the roles of the orphans and the starring title role in its upcoming production of the musical “Annie.” Girls ages 6 to 14 are encouraged to attend the audition on March 3. Auditions are by appointment only. Callbacks will take place Sunday, March 4. Rehearsals will take place May 12 to 30. “Annie” is on stage from May 31 through July 15. Those auditioning should prepare at least one vocal selection and bring sheet music in the correct key. Young performers should dress comfortably (no costumes or makeup), and provide a photo as well as a brief résumé of recent performing experience. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure that the child’s school is amenable to unavoidable missed school time.
