INDIANAPOLIS
Robert “Bob” L. Snyder, 71, our beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, left us to be with The Lord on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Bob spent his grade school years at Zion Lutheran and then attended New Palestine High School. After graduation Bob was a staff sergeant for four years in the Air Force and proudly served his country overseas during the Vietnam War. He then went on to Spartan Aeronautical School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
After returning to Indiana he began working at Sky Harbor Airport and also established his own furniture refinishing business. In 1981 he accepted a position at Rolls Royce as a test operator in research and development and retired in 2013.
He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Nancy; daughters, Trinity and Brittany; daughter-in-law, Keri; sister, Rosemary; four beautiful grandchildren, Lily, Luke, Graham, Lane; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Christian; his parents, Edward and Julia; brothers, James and Richard.
Visitation will take place at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, where Bob is a member, 6630 Southeastern Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203 on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 4 pm-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3 at 10 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 6513 West 300 South, New Palestine, IN 46163, with visitation from 9 am until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at Zion.
