GREENFIELD — Students at Harris Elementary recently sponsored a shoe drive to collect new and used shoes for Changing Footprints, a registered not-for-profit organization that collects new and gently used shoes for distribution to homeless, disaster-stricken or underprivileged people locally, nationally and internationally. Donated shoes in poor condition are recycled into playground mulch. Students collected 644 pairs of shoes, and six students brought in 30 or more pairs of shoes.
