Jean Lowdenslager, 75, formerly of Richmond, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Morristown Manor Nursing Home. Born November 14, 1942, in Richmond, Indiana, to Charles E. and Grace L. Canan Libking.

Jean had lived in this community most of her life until moving to Greenfield in 2012. She was a 1961 graduate of Richmond High School. Jean worked as a secretary at Rose Hamilton Elementary School. She loved being with her family. Jean was the greatest wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Sheldon “Bud” Lowdenslager; daughters, Jill (Terry) Dye and Karen (Randy) Black, both of Fishers, Indiana; granddaughter, Ella Rose Black; grandsons, Trevor and Tanner Dye; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles “Bill” and Terry Libking; second mom, Martha Libking; and best friend, Sandy Hasse.

Visitation for Jean Lowdenslager will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Bud Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
