Sondra Kay Laudig passed away Monday, February 5, 2018, at Rawlins House Hospice Care in Pendleton.

She was born May 30, 1936, in Marion County to Lois Ruth (Shuck) Sibbach.

She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1954. She then attended Wittenberg College until 1957 when she married her husband Larry Wilson Laudig.

After Larry received his veterinary degree from Michigan State in 1960, their travels returned them briefly to Madison County, then to the Presidio in San Francisco, Madison Wisconsin, and, finally back to McCordsville. Together, they raised four children and grew and maintained his veterinary practice until they retired on December 31, 1997.

Sondra enjoyed stitching, feeding and seeing hummingbirds, reading, watching basketball, and being with her family and life-long friends in Pendleton.

She is survivied by her children, Melinda (Jeff) Haraldson, Bret (Sheila) Laudig, Jack (Christine) Laudig, and Amanda Laudig and her husband David Hammontree. She also leaves five granddaughters, Vanessa (Marco Garcia) Radcliff, Stephanie Radcliff, Amelia Laudig, Madeline Laudig and Adrianne Laudig; and five great-grandchildren, Sophia, Kevin, T.J., Anais, and Lucia. Other survivors are her sister-in-law, Ann Couey; nephew, Dr. Bert I. Davis; and nieces, Lynn Somers and Joyce Crawford; Danny Shuck and many other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her mother and adoptive father.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton with visitation one hour prior at Lahm Chapel. Private burial in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
