Betty Ann Larrabee, 87, of Pflugerville, Texas, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Spanish Oak in Pflugerville.

She was born February 17, 1930, in Shelby County, the daughter of Hiram B. and Mildred Pearl (Benefiel) Cole. On June 3, 1951, she married her husband of 66 years, Frank Eugene Larrabee, and he survives.

In addition to Frank, Betty is survived by her son, Harry R. Larrabee and wife, Betsy, of San Marcos, Texas; daughters, Leann Ballard and husband, Dan, of Hutto, Texas, and Donna Hooper and husband, Scott, of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, Millie Jean Boring and husband, Jan, of Northville, Michigan; sister-in-law, Wanda Cole of Greenfield, Indiana; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rosemary Dineff; and brothers, Rick D. Cole and Ned H. Cole.

Betty Ann graduated from Morristown High School in 1947, and attended Border Business School in Indianapolis.

She was formerly the secretary for Marion Township Elementary School.

Betty Ann enjoyed sewing, crosstitch, cooking and gardening.

She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

A gathering of friends and family will be 11 a.m. to noon, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

A memorial service will follow at noon at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating.

Betty Ann’s life will be celebrated in the community room of the First United Methodist Church after the memorial service

Private inurnment will be at Greenfield Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
