Celebrate Valentine’s Day with art
GREENFIELD — Indie Art Studio offers an opportunity for a different kind of Valentine’s Day: a couples’ paint party, at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Indie Art Studio located in the Creative Arts and Event Center, 2 W. Main St. Couples will work together to each create half of a painting at their own pace and in their own style to create a complete scene. No experience necessary. The instructor will guide participants step by step through the painting process. The $45 cost per couple includes all painting supplies. Adult beverages are welcome. Paint with a partner at the library
NEW PALESTINE — Kids in grades kindergarten through fifth are invited to bring a partner to paint with from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Sugar Creek Branch of the Hancock County Public Library, 5087 W. U.S. Highway 52. The partner can be a parent, a family member or a friend. Each person gets a canvas for half of the painting to put together with a partner to make an even bigger creation. Registration starting for adult softball
GREENFIELD — Registration for Greenfield Parks & Recreation’s adult slow-pitch softball league starts Feb. 5. Leagues available include a men’s “over the hill” division for age 40 and up; a co-ed division for age 16 and up; a men’s church division; and opportunities for open play.
