Robert “Bob” Lee Schutt, 77, of Greenfield, IN, passed away on January 28, 2018. Bob was born March 22, 1940, in Cumberland, IN, to James Schutt and Jeanette (Kissel) Schutt.
After completing his education, he met and married his wife, Carole Francis Schutt on June 18, 1959, and they have been happily married for 58 years. Bob worked for the Ford Motor Company, at the local plant on English Ave in Indianapolis, from 1963 until the time of his retirement. Bob had many joys in life, he was passionate about Ford cars and also was a member of the Indianapolis Mustang Club for over 20 years. He enjoyed restoring and showing his vintage Ford Mustangs, riding his motorcycle, caring for his animals on his small farm, as well as the many happy moments shared with his family. He was a kind man with a big heart.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carole Francis (Racer) Schutt; son, Jerry (Paula) Schutt; son, Robert Schutt, Jr.; daughter, Kathleen (Barry) Schutt-Hall; son, Matthew (Stephanie) Schutt; ten grandchildren, Tiffany, Amanda, Marjorie, Andrew, Matthew, Nicholas, Hayla, Garrett, Claudia, and Parker; one great-granddaughter, Madison; one great-grandson, Connor; one brother; one sister; many nieces and nephews; his fur-kid, Sammy; as well as his grandfur-kids, Luna, Angel, and Mazy who will all miss him very much.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Marie Schutt; three sisters; and one brother.
A memorial service for Bob will be held Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at 7:00 PM at Hendryx Mortuary, 11636 East Washington St., Indianapolis, IN, 46229. Friends may visit from 5:00 PM until the time of service at the mortuary.
