The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Dec. 4

KFC Corp.

Location: 1604 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: NC/R – repair/replace tiles and coving at mop and hand sink by raw chicken walk-in cooler, to be corrected by March 1; NC/R – clean floor and door of walk-in raw chicken cooler and floor drain by door, to be corrected by March 1; C – hot holding unit at west end of line not holding food at proper temperature, corrected/food discarded.

Speedway

Location: 815 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

No violations found.

Zapp Thai Restaurant

Location: 2045 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C/R – need certified food handler, to be corrected by March 1; C – employees need to be instructed as to when to wash hands, change gloves and be aware of what they are touching with gloves on, to be corrected by Dec. 11; NC – ice scoop handle was in ice used as food, corrected.
