Pacers game to support mission trip

NEW PALESTINE — New Palestine United Methodist Church’s Rooted youth group is playing host to a “New Palestine United Methodist Night” with the Indiana Pacers at 7 p.m. March 23.

The community is invited to participate in a Lucas Oil Faith and Family Night with the Indiana Pacers.

Tickets are $25 and include a Pacers hat, hot dog, chips, and small Pepsi product with your seat. After the game, gather in the courtside seats to hear a Pacers player talk about his faith and how it has helped him in his life and in basketball.

All proceeds from the sale of the Pacers tickets will go to support Rooted’s summer mission trip.

Group plans chicken noodle dinner

KNIGHTSTOWN — Knightstown United Methodist Women will serve their annual chicken noodle dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Feb. 3 in the fellowship hall of Knightstown United Methodist Church, 27 S. Jefferson St.

The menu features homemade noodles served with mashed potatoes, green beans, slaw, drink and homemade rolls and pie. Donations will be accepted.

Love INC annual banquet slated

GREENFIELD — Love INC’s fourth annual Love Thy Neighbor banquet is set for 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at Trinity Park United Methodist Church, 207 W. Park Ave., Greenfield.

It will feature a taco and nacho bar provided by Don Rigo’s Restaurant.

Guest speaker will be Jayme Whitaker, an Indiana artist who shares his journey that includes time in foster homes and correctional facilities.

Several local businesses are sponsoring the event. Register to reserve a seat at 317-468-6300. Donations will be accepted to support Love INC’s ministry.
