GREENFIELD
James “Jim” Franklin, 83 of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Greenfield Healthcare Center in Greenfield. He was born on December 8, 1934 in Cartwright, Kentucky to the late Clarence Elmer and Ruby Estelle (Smith) Franklin.
Left to cherish Jim’s memory are his sons, Les Alan Franklin of Greenfield; James Michael Franklin of Connersville; David Franklin of Greenfield; daughters, Cheryl Gillam of Kokomo; Ruby Temple of New Whiteland; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding Jim in death are his parents mentioned above; brothers, Ora & J.B. Franklin; sister, Netha Butler; and grandson, Jeremy Alan Franklin.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm following the visitation with Pastor Randall Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, 621 S. State St, Greenfield, IN 46140.
