Police release photo of suspected bank robber

GREENFIELD — Investigators are circulating a photograph of the man they say robbed Greenfield’s Chase Bank branch after Thanksgiving last year.

Security cameras from inside the branch caught a black man wearing a red pullover sweatshirt with an Adidas logo, dark jeans and white athletic shoes as he approached the teller counter just after 11:15 a.m. on Nov. 24, police said.

The man had a medium build and stood between 6-foot-3 and 6-foot-5. He is believed to be in his 40s or 50s.

The suspect was handed an undisclosed amount of cash, and he left the building and headed north on foot, police said.

No one was injured in the robbery. Investigators do not believe the man was carrying a weapon at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Greenfield Police Department at 317-477-4410 or the FBI at 317-595-4000.
