FOUNTAINTOWN — The Fountaintown Community Volunteer Fire Department plans a fundraiser to aid in the purchase of a power load system for placing patients in the department’s ambulance.
A chili supper is planned for 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the department, 141 E. Brookville Road, Fountaintown. A donation purchases chili, a hot dog, a drink and dessert. The donations will help the department replace its existing power cot, a 12-year-old device.
The fundraiser is part of an effort to raise $30,000 toward the cost of the new equipment, said Connie Carlton, a member of the department.
