GREENFIELD

Patricia “Pat/Peachy” Marie Hall, 70, of Greenfield passed away in her home with her sons by her side on January 9th, 2018.

Pat was born on September 22, 1947 in Indianapolis to the late Theodore Lowell and Virginia Dickinson Hall. She earned her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Indiana University and her master’s degree in counseling from IUPUI. She worked as an occupational therapist for over 44 years. In addition to working in acute rehabilitation at Community Hospital, cognitive rehabilitation at the NeuroScience Center of Indianapolis, teaching at the University of Indianapolis, and working as a therapist/director for the Return to Work Program at the Indiana Hand Center, her last 13 years were spent working for Hancock-south Madison Joint Services caring for children in surrounding communities.

She was an active representative for ICAN (Indiana Canine Assistance Network) where she helped and trained service dogs, and she volunteered for SAWs (Servants at Work, Inc.) building ramps for disabled individuals, which allows them to continue living in their own homes. She was an avid hiker and enjoyed quilting, biking, and traveling. Most recently she had visited Ireland, Alaska, and North Carolina. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Doug Samuels of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Brian Samuels (Anna) of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Raegan, T.J., Tara and James (due April 2018); brother, Roger Hall (Sandy) of Greenfield, IN; sister, Terry Hall of Columbus, IN; nieces, Sarah Brisco (Thomas) of Tulsa, OK and Deanna Franke (Tim) of Gastonia, NC; and grandnieces, Sydney and Lillian Brisco and Sammy Franke along with many beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Per her wishes, friends and family are invited to celebrate Peachy’s life on Saturday, January 13th, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan- Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis.
