Barbara J. Stewart submitted this poem as a letter to the editor:

I’m not letting go of Christmas

I’m wearing my green and my red

I love all the wonder of Christmas

the Christ child in his manger bed.

I love how the children are happy,

the lights and the carols we sing,

and God in his heaven is watching,

us loving and praising our king.

So when I see you, I’ll be smiling

But in my heart I’ll wish you “good cheer!”

For I’m not letting go of Christmas

Until Christmas comes around next year.
