Restaurant Inspections – January 6

The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Nov. 1

Bob Evans Farms

Location: 2256 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — eggs, dressing, etc. have exceeded date marking labeling, corrected/discarded; C — sani-buckets at grill area and bakery area testing at low concentration, corrected; NC — ice scoop is touching wall when stored, to be corrected by Nov. 1.

K-Dog’s Pizza and Chicken

Location: 207 S. Main St., Shirley

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: NC — clean racks in refrigeration unit, to be corrected by Jan. 1.

Eagle 2 Petroleum LLC

Location: 407 Main St., Shirley

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C/R — expired turkey wraps in cooler, corrected; NC/R — keep plastic sleeve up over lips of cups until ready to put into dispenser, to be corrected by Jan. 1.

Ben’s Friendly Bar

Location: 307 Railroad St., Shirley

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: NC — clean shelving in walk-in cooler and fan in kitchen, also clean drawer handles at unit by oven, ice maker bin has mold/black residue, to be corrected by Jan. 1.
