GREENFIELD — Hancock Regional Hospital this week urged limited visitors to hospital patients amid an increase in flu-like symptoms.
Hospital staff this week placed limitations on who should visit hospital patients for the first time since March 2016, stating in a news release posted on social media that the move was to ensure the safety of those within the facility’s care. Those who are experiencing fever, cough, muscle aches or chills are asked to not visit the hospital.
In addition, those under 18 are asked not to visit patients; the release suggests limiting visitors to patient’s immediate family, partner, significant other or spiritual counselor.
