KidsPlay to audition for spring production

GREENFIELD — KidsPlay Inc. children’s theater will conduct auditions for boys and girls in grades 3 through 8 for its spring production of “Fractured” from 2 to 5 p.m. Jan. 7 for returning KidsPlayers and from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 10 for new auditioners. New auditioners should come prepared with an audition monologue of one minute or less. Auditions are held at the KidsPlay Dungeon on the lower level of the Memorial Building at 98 East North St. Rehearsals for the production will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Performance dates are April 20, 21 and 22. Get your tap on with community dance classes

FORTVILLE — Mt. Vernon High School Theater invites aspiring tap dancers age 13 through adult to drop-in tap classes at the Mt. Vernon High School auditorium, 8112 N. County Road 200W. Classes are $5 each and last one hour with two sessions offered at 2 and 3 p.m. Dec. 28, Dec. 30, Jan. 3 and Jan. 5. Participants should enter through door 7. Tap shoes are required. Class offered for toddlers and elementary age

GREENFIELD — The Indie Art Studio, located in the Creative Arts and Event Center, 2 W. Main, offers an art class for toddlers and elementary aged children Wednesday. The toddler class meets from 10 to 10:45 a.m. The elementary age class meets from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Both classes will be working with paint and focusing on color. Do you want to paint a snowman?

FORTVILLE — Aspiring artists can choose from four snowman designs from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at At Home with Us — Indiana, 202 S. Main St. Michelle from Mixed Up Media will guide students through techniques using paper, paints and stencils on an 8 x 8 inch wooden canvas. The cost to participate is $25.
