Learn the art of woodburning

GREENFIELD — A class on the art of pyrography — or woodburning — will be offered from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Creative Arts and Event Center, 2 W. Make a dreamcatcher at the library

GREENFIELD — Teens in the sixth through 12th grade are invited to meet at the Hancock County Public Library from 3 to 4 p.m. Dec. 28 to create mini dream catchers. According to Native American legend, a dream catcher will catch good thoughts and ideas and let the bad ones pass through the holes. All supplies are provided. Visit hcplibrary.com to register.

Senior quilters meet weekly

GREENFIELD — A quilting group for seniors meets weekly from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Fridays at the Patricia Elmore Center. Participation is free. Call Greenfield Parks and Recreation at 317-477-4343 for more information.

Bloomington art fair calls for artists

BLOOMINGTON — Arts Fair on the Square invites artists to apply for the 37th annual fair which takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 23 on the grounds of the Monroe County Courthouse. Sponsored by the Bloomington Playwright’s Project, this juried event features more than 100 artists and draws in more than 4,000 visitors to the city every year. The application deadline is March 15.
