GREENFIELD — Jingle John the Elf brings a live reindeer and other animals from Silly Safaris’ Reindeer Reserve Dec. 21 to the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Performances for this free family program take place at 4 and 7 p.m. Audience members can interact with John’s menagerie during the show, and everyone has time to pet the animals afterward. Register to attend the Hancock branch show by calling 317-462-5141, ext. 238. Jingle John visits the library’s Sugar Creek Branch, 5087 U.S. 52 West in New Palestine at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Limited, free tickets will be available at the children’s desk 30 minutes before the show on a first-come, first-seated basis. For this location only, registration is not required.

NEW PALESTINE —Frenzy Animal Rescue will host a rummage and bake sale fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the shelter at 37½ W. Mill St. In addition to rummage sale items and home-baked goodies, dogs are available for adoption. The shelter is also offering microchipping for pets for $20 (by appointment only) and will welcome donations of cleaning supplies, food, treats or flea medication. KNIGHTSTOWN – St. Rose Church, 8144 U.S. Highway 40 West, will host its 17th annual live nativity beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday. The public is invited to stop and visit at the manger scene, and parents are welcome to take photos of their children at the scene. This is the 17th year the Nativity Scene has been presented at St. Rose.

INDIANAPOLIS — The unique musical sound of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra returns to Indianapolis at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, 125 S. Pennsylvania to present “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” tour. The rock opera features such fan-favorites as “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24,” “O’ Come All Ye Faithful,” “Good King Joy,” “Christmas Canon,” “Music Box Blues,” “Promises To Keep” and “This Christmas Day.” Tickets for the one-night-only tour are available at bankers-life-fieldhouse.tickets-center.com.
