HANCOCK COUNTY – The Salvation Army of Hancock County seeks additional volunteers to ring the bell outside local grocery stores as Christmas approaches.
In the past three weeks, the local branch of the evangelical Christian organization has raised nearly half of its $40,000 goal, but organizer Jim Peters said the coming weeks will be critical to reaching that number as this year’s campaign is shorter than previous years.
