Police investigating house fire

    UPDATE: Officials have confirmed a woman died Wednesday morning in a house fire in Greenfield. Investigators do not suspect foul play. 

    GREENFIELD — About a dozen Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputies are the scene of a house fire in Greenfield.

    The home is located in the 2000 block of Anita Lane, just west of County Road 200W and north of U.S. 40.

    Fire crews from at least three area departments responded to the scene early Wednesday morning after the house caught fire.

    Flames appear to have destroyed most of the structure.

    Two detectives and an evidence technician have reported to the scene. Officers have put caution tape around the property.
