Brody Stephens night at New Pal on Friday

New Palestine High School athletics and the basketball program will be honoring Brody Stephens’ memory Friday during the Dragons’ basketball doubleheader against Greenfield-Central.

Fans are encouraged to wear orange to the game and to donate to the “Brody Strong” fund. Brody’s family will be recognized during the game.

The “Brody Strong” fund has been established in Brody’s memory through the Hancock County Community Foundation. The fund will assist Southern Hancock elementary families in need with the cost of uniforms, equipment and fees, so all can participate in sports.

Brody was a student at Sugar Creek Elementary School who bravely fought leukemia until his passing April 29.

Friday’s action begins at 6 p.m. with the New Palestine and Greenfield-Central girls basketball teams tipping off. The boys teams will meet about 7:30 p.m.

Fan can donate to the Brody Strong fund in-person at Friday’s game or by check to the HCCF, 312 E. Main Street, Greenfield, IN, 46140 (put “Brody Strong” in the memo line). Donations can be made online via the HCCF (Choose the Brody Strong fund in the drop-down menu) at givehcgrowhc.org/give/online-giving/
